  • Visit Felixstowe beach hut opposite Felixstowe Town Hall Undercliff Road W Felixstowe IP11 2AG (map)

Beachcombers tell me that as soon as my beachcombs are over they want to do it all over again - now’s your chance!

Join me from 10:30am - 12:00. If you want to keep going we’ll take an hour for lunch (so bring your own or visit one of the many local eateries) and then explore another part of the beach from 1:00 - 2:30pm. (Sorry, but it’s not possible to join us just for the afternoon session.)

Felixstowe beach is a fabulous location for beachcombing with heaps of treasures to be found, especially shells and there’s always the chance of finding a shark’s tooth.

Meeting point: Visit Felixstowe beach hut opposite Felixstowe Town Hall, Undercliff Rd W, Felixstowe IP11 2AG

Please join me ten minutes before the beachcomb begins so we can start promptly. Sorry, but if you are late you won't be able to join us.

Do I need to book? No.

How much does it cost? £4 for each person for the morning, £8 for each person for the day.

Who is this suitable for? All ages. Beachcombing is suitable for children and adults alike.  Hunting for treasure on our beaches is addictive whatever your age, so all are welcome. Children must be supervised at all times by their accompanying adults. If you have limited mobility, a beachcomb on Felixstowe beach is perfect as we don’t walk very far at all and there are plenty of places to sit down.

What should I wear? It can be windy and cold on the beach even on a sunny day so wrap up with lots of layers for warmth and against the wind. Please wear shoes suitable for walking on shingle - flip-flops or open-toed sandals will be uncomfortable.

How long will it last?  An hour and a half.

What if it's horrible weather? The weather can be very changeable but the beachcomb will go ahead unless it's torrential rain or high winds make the beach dangerous.

Is there parking? There is plenty of free, as well as pay & display, parking in Felixstowe.

Can I bring my dog? Sorry, dogs are not allowed on this part of the beach at this time of the year.

I can’t make this date, will there be others? Yes, there are Beach Bonkers beachcombing events throughout the year.

Later Event: August 31
