Felixstowe beach is a fabulous location for beachcombing with heaps of treasures to be found, especially shells and there’s always the chance of finding a shark’s tooth.

How much does it cost? £4 for each person. 

Who is this suitable for? All ages. Beachcombing is suitable for children and adults alike.  Hunting for treasure on our beaches is addictive whatever your age, so all are welcome. Children must be supervised at all times by their accompanying adults. If you have limited mobility, a beachcomb on Felixstowe beach is perfect as we don’t walk very far at all and there are plenty of places to sit down.

What should I wear? It can be windy and cold on the beach even on a sunny day so wrap up with lots of layers for warmth and against the wind. Please wear shoes suitable for walking on shingle - flip-flops or open-toed sandals will be uncomfortable.

How long will it last?  An hour and a half.

What if it's horrible weather? The weather can be very changeable but the beachcomb will go ahead unless it's torrential rain or high winds make the beach dangerous.

Is there parking? There is plenty of free, as well as pay & display, parking in Felixstowe.

Can I bring my dog? Sorry, dogs are not allowed on this part of the beach at this time of the year.
